A B2B platform aimed at positioning South Africa as a Sports and Events Tourism Destination
The annual Sports & Events Tourism Exchange (SETE) has become a significant event in the sports and events tourism calendar and now in its sixth year will see new and exciting changes.
This will be the second year SETE takes place in the City of Tshwane. This year’s event will take place from 25 to 27 October 2016 at the Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! Menlyn, Tshwane. The two-day Conference will focus on golf tourism, the business of sport, trends in the sports and events tourism industry, which are among the key issues to be debated at this year’s conference. Each conference delegate will get the opportunity this year to access the Online Diary System where they can schedule one on one meetings with International Buyers, Stakeholders, Speakers and other Conference Delegates.

Since its inception SETE has become the meeting place for key decision-makers in the sports and events tourism industry to network, do business and debate issues of national importance affecting the growth of the sports and events tourism sector. International buyers from over 20 countries were hosted over the past five years resulting in estimated business of over R30 million for the South African sports and events tourism industry.
SETE will therefor again host an International Hosted Buyer Programme to welcome pre-selected high caliber buyers to visit South Africa and interact with South African Products and Stakeholders in the Sports and Events Tourism Industries at SETE with the aim of securing more events business for South Africa.
